What AI Tools Can a Small Business Owner Use to Write Social Media Posts Every Week? 7 Real Businesses (2026)
Updated October 28, 2026 · 7 sourced examples · 3 owner-told, 4 press, 0 vendor · no paid placement
Most of the owners in our library do it with a general AI chat tool they already have, in one weekly or monthly sitting, and a person still picks the photos and posts. Krystal Shiklanian of Radiant Fine Jewelry plans each week's posts with ChatGPT, and 99% of the store's Instagram captions come from it (INSTORE). Ron Hansen of CrossFit EMC uploads the week's workouts to a Google Gemini Gem that writes the week's posts and hashtags and suggests four photos per post. April Martinez, who runs a clinic in Rawlins, Wyoming, says a week of posts for eight platforms now takes about two hours instead of 10 to 15, using her own AI agent and Claude (Saratoga Sun). Benjamin Schneider of The Wyoming Handyman writes his Facebook posts with free ChatGPT and says he spends no more than an hour a week on marketing.
- Our library has 7 small businesses using AI to keep up a weekly or monthly posting schedule: The Wyoming Handyman, CrossFit EMC, Valley Auto Glass, Radiant Fine Jewelry, April Martinez's clinic, Charcuterie by Bohemian Picnics and Sights & Shades.
- 3 are owner-told (podcasts and a webinar) and 4 come from press coverage (INSTORE, AGRR Magazine, the Saratoga Sun and INVISION). None is a vendor case study.
- The tools named are ordinary ones: ChatGPT (three businesses), Google Gemini (two), Claude, Meta AI, Sintra and Canva. No one here needed a dedicated social media AI tool to start.
- Batch it. These owners plan a week or a month at a time: a weekly plan at Radiant, the week's workouts at CrossFit EMC, a month of daily ideas at Valley Auto Glass, a monthly theme at Sights & Shades.
- Feed it your own material and voice. Martinez loaded a style guide and her own articles, Hansen built his Gem from an interview about his gym, and Shiklanian says the key is teaching ChatGPT the brand voice.
- Keep the human part. Schneider writes one post himself every couple of weeks, Ramirez still posts by hand, and Martinez reads everything first because, in her words, "AI lies."

What do these 7 businesses actually do with AI for weekly posts?
Each business links to its full case, with steps and a copy-paste prompt. Results are as told to the source, not promises.
| Business | What the AI does | Tool named in the source | What they reported |
|---|---|---|---|
| Radiant Fine Jewelry, Plymouth, Michigan (press) | Weekly social media plans and the daily captions, plus ads, radio spots and email blasts in different tones. | ChatGPT | 99% of the store's Instagram captions are ChatGPT-generated, per INSTORE. No time or sales figures. |

| April Martinez's clinic, Rawlins, Wyoming (press) | Her own AI agent, loaded with a market profile, style guide and her own material, drafts content plans, captions and blog drafts; she uses Claude for strategy. | Claude (the agent's platform isn't named) | Weekly posting to eight platforms takes about two hours instead of 10 to 15. Self-reported. |

Which AI tools do small businesses use to write their weekly posts?
Mostly general AI chat tools. ChatGPT shows up most: Radiant Fine Jewelry, The Wyoming Handyman and Valley Auto Glass all name it, and Schneider was on the free version. CrossFit EMC uses a Google Gemini Gem, Martinez uses Claude for strategy alongside her own agent, and Valley Auto Glass adds Meta AI.
One business uses an AI marketing assistant: Luisa Ramirez of Charcuterie by Bohemian Picnics uses Sintra for Instagram strategy, post ideas and captions, and says she pays $37 a month (we haven't checked Sintra's price). She moves any text-heavy flyer to Canva, because the AI tool garbled the letters, per the Artificial Reality podcast.
How do owners write a whole week of posts at once?
Start from something you already make. Ron Hansen, general manager and head coach of CrossFit EMC in Millcreek, Utah, first built a Gemini Gem from an interview about his gym, then uploads that week's workouts in a separate chat; the Gem writes all of the week's social posts, knows which hashtags to use and looks for four images per post in his Google Drive or Google Photos so he can pick one, per a PushPress webinar.
Or plan the week first. Krystal Shiklanian, owner of Radiant Fine Jewelry in Plymouth, Michigan, trained ChatGPT to act as the store's lead social media marketer: every week she builds a detailed social media plan with it and relies on it for the daily captions, per INSTORE.
Valley Auto Glass in Lompoc, California goes a month at a time. Ingrid and Gio Pineda started in January 2025 by asking for a "January social media advent calendar" and now get a calendar with something different each day, then use ChatGPT and Meta AI to help write the posts, polls and videos, per AGRR Magazine. They learned the approach in a Small Business Development Center webinar.
How do you keep AI-written posts sounding like your business?
Give it your own material before you ask for posts. April Martinez, a naturopath who runs a full-time clinic in Rawlins, Wyoming, loaded her AI agent with her market profile, a style guide and a knowledge base of her own writing, so it isn't pulling from the open internet. She also pushes it away from its default look, because the research she follows suggests less AI-looking content is more attractive, per the Saratoga Sun.
Shiklanian says the key is teaching ChatGPT the brand voice and market positioning, and she asks for a different tone each time ("make it funny, make it serious, make it cheeky, make it edgier").
Benjamin Schneider of The Wyoming Handyman in Cheyenne writes one post himself every couple of weeks, without AI, to keep a personal touch with the community, per The Handyman Success Podcast.
How much time does AI save on weekly social posts?
Two owners give a number. Martinez says weekly posting to eight platforms dropped from 10 to 15 hours to about two. Schneider says he spends no more than an hour a week on marketing. Both are self-reported, and the other five give no time figures.
Results beyond time are thin: Radiant reports that 99% of its Instagram captions come from ChatGPT, and Charcuterie by Bohemian Picnics passed 20,000 Instagram followers, which its co-owner credits partly to what she learned through AI. Neither is shown to be caused by the tool.
What should a person still check before a post goes out?
Facts, photos and anything personal. Martinez reads every blog post before it goes live: "AI lies," she says, and it makes mistakes even with firm instructions. Hansen picks the photo himself from the Gem's four suggestions. Ramirez still posts by hand. Jennifer Yerden of Sights & Shades in Canandaigua, New York treats every output as an outline she edits: "AI isn't perfect, it is a tool," per INVISION.
All 7 cases, with steps and a copy-paste prompt
A weekly social plan and daily captions with ChatGPT: Radiant Fine Jewelry (Plymouth, MI, press)
Krystal Shiklanian, owner of Radiant Fine Jewelry, an independent jewelry store in Plymouth, Michigan, in INSTORE magazine
Tools: ChatGPT · Job: Plan a jewelry store's weekly social posts and write its captions, ads and email blasts with ChatGPT
What it does: She has trained ChatGPT to act as the store's lead social media marketer: every week she creates detailed social media plans with it and relies on it for the daily captions. She has also had it write advertising strategies, radio commercials and email blasts, asking for a different tone each time ("make it funny, make it serious, make it cheeky, make it edgier"), and uses it to polish her emails.
Reported: Per INSTORE, 99% of Radiant's Instagram captions are ChatGPT-generated. She says the key is teaching it the brand voice and market positioning, and she still handwrites thank-you notes to keep the personal part of the business. No time or sales figures are given.

The week's workouts in, the week's posts out, with a Gemini Gem: CrossFit EMC (Millcreek, UT, owner-told)
Ron Hansen, general manager and head coach of CrossFit EMC in Millcreek, Utah (Salt Lake City area), on a PushPress webinar
Tools: Google Gemini · Job: Upload the week's workouts to a Gemini Gem and get the week's social posts, hashtags and image picks in your voice
What it does: In a separate conversation inside the Gem built from his Gemini interview, he uploads his workouts for the week. The Gem creates all the social media posts, knows which hashtags to use and suggests images from his Google Drive or Google Photos, looking for four images per post so he can choose from them.
Reported: He describes the workflow on the webinar: he chooses the images himself from the four the Gem suggests. No time-saved or results figures are given. Self-reported.

A week of posts for eight platforms in about two hours: April Martinez's clinic (Rawlins, WY, press)
April Martinez, a holistic health educator and naturopath who runs a full-time clinic in Rawlins, Wyoming, in the Saratoga Sun (via the Wyoming News Exchange)
Tools: Claude · Job: Load your style guide and your own articles into an AI assistant so a week of posts for eight platforms takes about two hours
What it does: She built her own AI agent loaded with her market profile, a style guide and a knowledge base of her own material, so the tool isn't pulling from the open internet. She uses it for content plans, captions, blog drafts and website projects, and uses Anthropic's Claude for strategy. She also pushes the tool away from its default look, because the marketing research she follows suggests the less AI-looking content is, the more attractive it is. The article doesn't name the platform her agent runs on.
Reported: Weekly posting to eight platforms now takes about two hours instead of 10 to 15. "It's my business partner," she says, but she reads every blog post before publishing: "AI lies," and even with firm instructions it makes mistakes. Self-reported.

Facebook posts with free ChatGPT, one a fortnight in his own words: The Wyoming Handyman (Cheyenne, WY, owner-told)
Benjamin Schneider, owner of The Wyoming Handyman in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on The Handyman Success Podcast
Tools: ChatGPT, Google Gemini · Job: Write the week's Facebook posts with ChatGPT and keep one post every couple of weeks in your own words
What it does: He uses ChatGPT (the free version at the time) to write Facebook posts, with a one-line request such as "write a handyman business Facebook post promoting furniture assembly services"; it writes a couple of paragraphs with emojis and hashtags, and the post can be reworked in the same conversation, for example to add an invitation to visit the website. He posts it with a photo of the work on the business page, in local Facebook groups and on his personal profile, and cross-posts the same post to his other platforms. He has also tried Google's Bard (now Gemini). Every couple of weeks he writes a post himself, not with AI, to keep a personal touch for the community.
Reported: He says he spends no more than an hour a week on marketing and calls it a huge game changer. He warns against letting AI write a whole website without your own voice. His revenue growth is business context, not an AI result. Self-reported.

A month of daily post ideas with ChatGPT and Meta AI: Valley Auto Glass (Lompoc, CA, press)
Ingrid and Gio Pineda of Valley Auto Glass in Lompoc, California, interviewed by AGRR Magazine
Tools: ChatGPT, Meta AI · Job: Plan a month of auto glass social posts with ChatGPT and Meta AI
What it does: ChatGPT and Meta AI suggest a month of daily post ideas, then help write the posts, polls and interactive videos. The couple also uses AI for sales and customer service training ideas and to add their logo to fun photos.
Reported: They started in January 2025 with the search "January social media advent calendar" and got monthly advent-style calendars with something different each day. They learned the approach in a Small Business Development Center webinar. No follower or sales figures are given.

The week's best photos and captions picked by AI, flyers finished in Canva: Charcuterie by Bohemian Picnics (New York, owner-told)
Luisa Ramirez, co-owner and executive chef of Charcuterie by Bohemian Picnics, a charcuterie board and picnic basket shop near Central Park in New York, who also runs its marketing, on the Artificial Reality podcast
Tools: Sintra, Canva · Job: Plan Instagram posts and captions with an AI assistant, then finish flyers in Canva
What it does: Sintra helps her with Instagram strategy, post ideas, email marketing and catering menus. From a batch of photos it picks the strongest for the week and writes captions with keywords, and it can schedule posts and notify her before they go out.
Reported: Self-reported: Instagram reached 20,000 followers the week of recording ("this week we reached twenty thousand followers"), which she credits to what she learned through AI and Sintra. This is not shown to be caused by the tool, and no other figures are given. She still posts by hand. Main limit: flyers with text come out garbled ("the letters are not matching what I'm typing in"), so she moves the text to Canva, where "it makes it perfect."

A monthly theme for emails, events and posts: Sights & Shades (Canandaigua, NY, press)
Jennifer Yerden, owner of Sights & Shades in Canandaigua, New York, who runs it as a one-woman show, in an INVISION magazine roundup of eyecare practices
Tools: AI tool (not named) · Job: Plan a monthly theme for emails, events and social posts with an AI assistant
What it does: She uses AI to create monthly themes covering emails, event planning, social media posts and cartoon images of the shop's mascot, Gus the polar bear. She also uses it for quick reference on business issues like taxes and state regulations, and treats every output as an outline she edits.
Reported: Self-reported, with no numbers. The roundup does not name the AI tool. Her caveat: "I just want to state that AI isn’t perfect, it is a tool." She says: "AI has helped my words sound more fluid." No time-saved or sales figures are given.

How to start this week
- Write down what makes your posts yours: a few past posts you like, how you talk to customers, and words you never use. This is your style guide.
- In ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, start a project (or a Gem in Gemini), upload that style guide and add standing instructions: your town, your services and how many posts you want each week.
- Once a week, paste in what happened (jobs finished, classes, new stock, a customer win) and ask for that week's posts, one per day, with a caption and hashtags for each.
- Pick the photos yourself, fix anything that isn't true, then schedule the posts in your platform's free scheduler or post them by hand.
- Write one post a fortnight yourself, the way Schneider does, so your feed still sounds like a person (our suggestion, based on these cases).
Frequently asked questions
Can ChatGPT write a week of social media posts for my business?
Yes. Radiant Fine Jewelry plans each week's social posts with ChatGPT and gets 99% of its Instagram captions from it, per INSTORE, and The Wyoming Handyman writes his Facebook posts with free ChatGPT. Our suggestion: read every post before it goes out. In our tool database ChatGPT is Free $0; Go $8/mo; Plus $20/mo; Pro $100/mo, Google Gemini is $4.99/mo (Google AI Plus); free plan available and Claude is $17/mo billed annually ($20 monthly).
Do I need a paid social media AI tool?
Not to start. Six of the seven businesses here use a general chat tool (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Meta AI) or one that isn't named. Only Charcuterie by Bohemian Picnics names a dedicated AI marketing assistant, Sintra.
How long does it take each week?
April Martinez says about two hours for eight platforms, down from 10 to 15, and Benjamin Schneider says no more than an hour a week on all his marketing. Both are self-reported.
Will my posts sound like AI?
They can. The owners here avoid it by loading their own writing and style guide first (Martinez, Shiklanian), asking for a specific tone, and writing some posts themselves (Schneider).
Which small businesses use AI to write their social posts?
In our library: The Wyoming Handyman (Cheyenne), CrossFit EMC (Millcreek, Utah), Valley Auto Glass (Lompoc, California), Radiant Fine Jewelry (Plymouth, Michigan), April Martinez's clinic (Rawlins, Wyoming), Charcuterie by Bohemian Picnics (New York) and Sights & Shades (Canandaigua, New York).
