For 20 dollars a month he uses Claude ("Big Claude guy, so shoutout Claude") for questions about "taxes. There's legal stuff. There's employees." When inquiries come in, Claude drafts the reply in the right format for the channel: "if I'm going to send them a DM, it's going to give me something a little bit shorter... If it's going to be doing an email, it's going to be a little bit longer, a little bit more formal."

The problem
Starting a mobile espresso bar meant questions about taxes, legal matters and employees. Without AI, he says, he would have had to "Either consult people or just do a lot of research to try to find the answer to one question." Event inquiries arrive by text, Instagram and email.
What happened
Per NPR, after 10 months he has two coffee carts, six-figure revenue and four to six events a week (corporate gatherings, graduation parties, church events, weddings). He hasn't hired an assistant or paid a lawyer or an accountant, but he has hired four part-time baristas. NPR doesn't say how much of the growth comes from AI. The piece draws on a survey by payroll company Gusto, whose platform he uses.
