AI for real estate scheduling (2026)
Updated October 14, 2026 · 3 sourced examples · no paid placement
Short answer: Agents are using AI voice agents to answer the calls they miss, qualify buyers and book tours, and Claude to turn a list of homes into a showing day. William Zhang, an Austin agent, says he built a voice agent with ElevenLabs, Twilio and TidyCal that books buyer appointments, and uses Claude Code to pull MLS showing instructions and plan the route. LKW Home Team in Columbus says its voice agent (platform not named) has answered 900+ inbound calls, per a Keller Williams-sponsored article on Real Estate News.
Calls come in while you are showing a house, and buyers move on before you call back. This page collects 3 sourced setups from two real estate businesses. Two are owner-told: William Zhang, a solo agent in Austin, Texas, describes his AI phone assistant and his Claude MLS workflow on his own blog, Real Estate AI Society. The third is press: LKW Home Team, a Keller Williams team in Columbus, Ohio, in a Keller Williams-sponsored article on Real Estate News.

How to choose and set it up
- Start with the leak you feel most. Zhang lost buyers to slow callbacks and spent 3 to 5 minutes on each showing request from other agents. LKW Home Team needed fast buyer calls and follow-up after shrinking from seven agents to three.
- Sort before you schedule. Zhang's agent first splits callers into lead, general inquiry or spam, and only leads go to booking. LKW's agent collects a fixed list in under two minutes: name, phone, email, neighborhood, price range, search stage and pre-approval.
- Set handoff rules up front. LKW's agent transfers to a human whenever it is less than 95% confident. Zhang's agent never gives out lockbox or gate codes and relays showing requests to him as a message.
- Cheap DIY first (a suggestion, not something these cases did): put a booking link on your voicemail greeting and website using Calendly (free plan; Standard $10/seat/mo). For a voice agent like Zhang's, ElevenLabs is listed at $6/mo (Starter); he also used Twilio and TidyCal.
- Save repeat work as a reusable step. Zhang saved his MLS lookup as a Claude Skill so each new home list is one command. Claude costs $17/mo billed annually or $20 monthly, on top of the MLS and Supra access he already pays for.

Can an AI voice agent book showings for a real estate agent?
William Zhang says his agent, Ashley, answers within two rings when he doesn't pick up, checks his calendar, offers two time slots at a time and books the appointment with name and email. He checks the call log once a day. The examples in his post are test calls, and he shares no lead or deal counts.
What does the AI do when it isn't sure?
At LKW Home Team, the voice agent transfers the call to a human whenever it is less than 95% confident, per the Keller Williams-sponsored article. Zhang's agent takes a detailed message with up to two follow-up questions for showing requests and other inquiries, and ends spam calls with no notification.
How much time does it save?
The LKW Home Team owners say automation frees 10 to 20 hours a week, and the article says the agent has answered 900+ inbound calls and taken 400+ next-step actions. Zhang estimates showing-request calls alone used to take close to an hour a week. He also says his Claude MLS lookup, about 30 minutes by hand, ran about 15 minutes unattended (self-reported).
