How to set it up yourself
- What Pipe Doctor used: ChatGPT (and sometimes Perplexity, Gemini or Copilot) for the script, ElevenLabs text-to-speech for the audio, and Vonage's auto-attendant.
- Paste the prompt below into ChatGPT with your hours, departments and what callers should press, and read the script out loud once to check it.
- In ElevenLabs, open Text to Speech, pick a voice, paste the script, generate it and download the MP3.
- Upload the file to your phone system's auto-attendant or greeting settings (in Vonage, the auto-attendant), then call your own number to test every option.
- Save the prompt so the next holiday or hours change takes minutes.
