Record your screen once with Scribe and turn it into step-by-step guides that teach technicians your work-order system
Courtenay Carace, co-owner of Pest-End, a pest control company in Plaistow, New Hampshire, in Pest Control Technology's 2025 State of the Technology Market report
Pest-End uses Scribe, an AI-based tool that breaks training modules into digestible chunks, to train technicians on how to input work orders and fill out forms. "We can record videos, take screenshots and use those to help technicians learn the system," Carace says.

The problem
After the company moved to a different CRM platform in December 2023, technicians had to learn how to enter work orders and fill out forms in the new system.
What happened
Carace says the updated office technology plus Scribe ramped up onboarding. Revenue grew from about $8 million two years earlier to $10 million, she expected about $12.2 million for 2025 (a forecast at the time), and "We have grown without adding more staff." The report presents that growth alongside the company's new CRM and other office technology; it isn't tied to Scribe alone. Self-reported.

How to set it up yourself
- What Pest-End does: staff record how a task is done in the CRM, and Scribe turns the recording and screenshots into short training steps for technicians.
- Pick the three tasks techs get wrong most in your software, such as closing a work order, a service form or logging products used.
- Record each one once, slowly, with sample data that has no real customer details, and check the generated steps against how you actually do it.
- Send the guide to new techs before their first day in the app, and re-record it whenever the software changes. The prompt below turns the steps into a phone checklist.
Copy-paste prompt
Here are the steps from a screen recording of how a technician at {COMPANY NAME} closes a work order in {SOFTWARE NAME}: {STEPS}. Rewrite them as a one-page checklist a new tech can follow on a phone: numbered steps, what each screen is called, the 3 most common mistakes, and what to do if a field is missing.
