The problem
About a third of her team are former apprentices, and they told her they had wanted much more clarity on how to get checked off on skills so they could see their own clients and get on the floor. The program had run on "trust the process" and was going through a big expansion.
What happened
She says the manuals and playbooks were reworked with AI's help, the program went from two phases to four, more educators were added, and the check-off requirements are more specific. No retention or time figures are given. Self-reported.

How to set it up yourself
- What Mirror Mirror did: gathered feedback from every former apprentice, combined it with the current program, the owner's notes on readiness and what she wanted, and used AI (she mainly uses ChatGPT) to reorganize it into new manuals, playbooks and a four-phase program with clearer check-offs.
- Collect the feedback: send former and current apprentices the same short Google Form (what was unclear, when they felt ready for their own clients, what they wished they'd been taught sooner, what to keep). Export the responses to Sheets and remove names.
- In ChatGPT, select New project in the sidebar, name it "Apprentice program", upload the current program document, the responses, your core values and your own notes on floor readiness, and paste the prompt below. Ask follow-ups in the same project for each phase's checklist and the educator's sign-off sheet.
- Review the draft with your educators before anything changes, then give each apprentice the written checklist for their phase and ask the next group for feedback at the end of each phase.
