He asked for a summary and put it in a Gemini Gem, so every answer from that Gem runs through his master prompt and avoids phrases he hates, like "crush it." Gemini then created his staff training protocols and SOPs, which he had made into a PDF and shared with each coach to read and leave comments or questions on.

The problem
When he typed "Hey, help me build an SOP," Gemini gave him "a generic Corporate speak" SOP. "I didn't like what I was getting."
What happened
He says the interview took him "a couple hours" because he wanted every question answered the way he wanted. Putting all the SOPs into NotebookLM as a searchable database for new coaches is a plan: "I haven't done it yet." No time-saved or results figures are given. Self-reported.

How to set it up yourself
- What CrossFit EMC does: Ron Hansen had Gemini interview him with a six-section master prompt, saved the summary in a Gemini Gem, and used that Gem to create staff SOPs and training protocols, shared as a PDF that coaches read and comment on.
- Start a new Gemini chat and paste the prompt below. Answer every question in your own words, and when it pushes back on a vague answer, give a specific one. Plan on a couple of hours.
- When the interview is done, ask Gemini for a summary of your answers. In Gemini, open Gems and create a new Gem; paste your summary into its instructions and save.
- In that Gem, ask for one SOP at a time (closing duties, adding a new member, a class flow). Check each step against how your gym really runs, then save it as a PDF or shared doc and ask coaches to comment where it's unclear.
