Turn your firm's human-written blog posts into LinkedIn updates with ChatGPT, and keep client details anonymous
Akshay Shrimanker, founder and CEO of Shay CPA, a New York accounting firm that specializes in tech startups, in Accounting Today
ChatGPT turns blog posts the firm's copywriter already wrote into LinkedIn updates in her voice, and a person edits them. When the firm uses it to think through accounting questions, clients are described only in general terms.

ChatGPT, LinkedIn
The problem
A small firm that pays a copywriter for blog posts wanted more promotion out of that content, and a quicker way to think through accounting questions, without putting client information at risk.
What happened
Shrimanker says it has been helpful for LinkedIn updates, but it "doesn't get everything right," so output still needs editing, and he isn't replacing the copywriter, who understands the business and its mission. No time or lead figures are given.

How to set it up yourself
- What Shay CPA does: ChatGPT turns blog posts its copywriter already wrote into short LinkedIn updates in her voice; a person edits them, client details are always generalized, and only three people at the firm use the tool.
- In ChatGPT, select New project in the sidebar, name it "LinkedIn from our blog", and upload three or four of your firm's published posts so it can copy the voice. Paste the prompt below under ••• > Project settings as the instructions.
- For each new blog post, paste it in and ask for two LinkedIn update options. Edit for accuracy: check every number, deadline and rule against the post itself, and cut anything the post doesn't say.
- If you also use it to think through a client question, describe the client the way Shrimanker does (age, city, situation, no names or account numbers), and treat the answer as a starting point you verify, not the final word.
Copy-paste prompt
Here is a blog post our firm, {FIRM NAME}, published for {AUDIENCE, e.g. startup founders}: {PASTE POST}. Write {NUMBER} LinkedIn updates that summarize it, each under {WORD LIMIT} words, in the same voice as the post. Lead with the one point a busy {AUDIENCE} would care about, use plain words, and end with a line pointing to the full post at {LINK}. Use only facts, figures and dates that appear in the post; don't add tax rules, deadlines or claims it doesn't make, and don't mention any client. We set up one AI automation in your tools, live within 48 hours of getting access, for $197.
