Show buyers what a distressed property could become with AI-edited photos, and have Claude code new website modules

who Kyle Zene-Moore, CEO of Zander Realty Group, an independent brokerage in Stoughton, Massachusetts, in Banker & Tradesman

What it does

The brokerage's agents use AI to edit images of distressed properties so buyers can see what the home can become after repairs or upgrades, while trying to avoid "frivolous" edits to how homes look. Zene-Moore also uses Claude to code different modules on the brokerage's website. He pays for ChatGPT and Claude (about $20 a month each), gets Gemini free with his Google email, and uses Lovable for one of the brokerage's websites ($30 a month).

Tool cost

Claude $17/mo billed annually ($20 monthly). Also in his stack: Gemini (free with his Google email) and ChatGPT. Lovable $30/mo per the article. The image-editing tool isn't named.

The problem

Buyers struggle to picture what a distressed property could become once it's repaired or upgraded, and a small independent brokerage doesn't have the developers to build new features for its own websites.

What happened

Zene-Moore estimates the brokerage spends about $2,300 a month on its marketing director's salary and AI costs combined. "I use Claude to code different modules on the website," he says. "So, some of that is stuff that we probably would not have been doing without AI." On the cost: "Just in terms of an ROI, we get a lot done faster and a lot done quicker." The article doesn't say which tool edits the property images.

How to set it up yourself

  1. What Zander Realty Group does: agents use AI to edit photos of distressed properties into a picture of what the home could become after repairs, avoiding frivolous edits, and the CEO has Claude write code for new modules on the brokerage's website.
  2. For a distressed listing, pick two or three rooms or the exterior and write down the specific, realistic repairs a buyer would likely make (new flooring, painted cabinets, a cleared yard); only those changes go into the edit.
  3. Run each photo through the AI image editor you already have, then post the edited image next to the original, clearly labeled as a digital rendering of possible improvements, never as the current condition.
  4. For website work, describe the module you want (a neighborhood page, a mortgage calculator, a lead form) to Claude with the prompt below, paste the code into a test page first and check it on a phone before it goes live.

Copy-paste prompt

I run {BROKERAGE NAME}'s website on {PLATFORM}. Write the code for one self-contained module: {MODULE, e.g. a monthly payment calculator for listings}. It must match these brand colors and fonts: {BRAND SPECS}, work on mobile, load no outside scripts except {ALLOWED}, and send any form entries to {EMAIL OR CRM WEBHOOK}. Explain in plain English where to paste it, and list anything I need to check for fair-housing or advertising rules before it goes live.
